Wouldn't touch a lagoon do not trust then and their bulkhead issues
Couldn't agree more. Lagoon do do amazing living spaces but the bulkhead issue is a fundamental manufacturing screwup - why try and save money on the most critical part of the boat/company. TMG is the best broker in the world, doing all these customer videos - fantastic!. but yeah....... would like to see the team selling another brand.....
Please share more on this 😀
As far as remembering port, starboard and so on... ... LEFTies are communists and communist flags are RED... and you want to leave them at the PORT...😄
congratulation, all of your videos are exceptional and very helpful!
Lots of people have questions about reefing correctly. Great job with the video. All the best Greetings from Greece. Best Ed and Patricia
No thanks don't trust the bulkhead issues
Dommage que Lagoon conserve ces vitres verticales qui leur donnent le look d'un camping-car...
why not use in mast furling? can it not be used in cats?
Just found your channel and subbed. Excellent tutorials! Keep up the great work!

What a fun bass line sound track. Who is playing it?
I Jack, below is the song :) ua-cam.com/video/1UCksAPR6Uw/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Owners bed in the bow section…. Mmmmm…. I have never met an owner (or crew) who did not find out about negative g whilst on a sea passage. Not everyone can sleep in the lounge if you have crew on board and despite many, many production builders putting the owners cabin fwd, it really is not a good place to be in any kind of sea. Other than that it looks good - though I wonder how dinghy davits will impede the view from that reversible stern seat?
very skilled presenter! much appreciated.
Worthless, you said or showed nothing.
Let me start with I've never sailed a boat before. I'm just a youtube watcher. In watching videos on anchoring it would seem to me to be beneficial to attach a rope that is attached to a floating object to the anchor to keep up with where the anchor is located. If you are in 4 meters of water then attach a rope with 5 meters of slack to the anchor. Then you could easily look out and see what your location to the anchor is at all times. The fact that after 1000s of years of sailing nobody does this there must be a logical reason why that wouldn't be a good idea.
Does Lagoon offer this model without the flybridge. I would rather have a massive solar array on the coach roof rather then a flybridge.
Lagoon offers a super efficient solar package for this boat that covers the entire coach roof with solar panels and the hardtop of the fly ridge as well. The fly ridge is the central idea of this boat so Lagoon made it possible to have lots of solar panels and retain the bridge
Thanks guys!
Can/should you put an anchor buoy on?
I know that Lagoon well, we delivered it from France.
Like and love sables D'Olonne❤ country from 🇮🇩 Indonesians
Another great video. Looking forward to the Spinnaker video :)
Where can you get this for a Lagoon 45 or 500?
Nice! What about this Furling Boom System for new 43 model?
the best innovation in their mind is the flip flop seat at the back ! seriously !
Hi, great video. As a relative newcomer to cats, I have a query. If there is only one lazy line available, should you take it windward or leeward side of the boat? Obviously in a monohull it would be windward but I've seen a teaching video for a cat where it was taken to the other side and it said would keep her better aligned... Thanks
You guys are really really good! Your videos and tutorials are probably the best out there. Thanks for that. They are so useful.
6:08 the little seat for when you come on board after a scuba run, or whatever... REALLY great, useful stuff...
I have seen several boats much like this one and what I do not understand is why there is no inside wheel. Bad weather is always on the table when sailing but these boats have no way to get away from said weather. ??????
Good Question! This boat show vessel wasn't fitted with it, however typically the Lagoon 55 is fitted with a good quality set of clears to fully enclose the flybridge making it very comfortable on the flybridge in bad weather,
Thank you so much for this.
How much?
im looking for a cool rubber ducky to accompany me on some tubbing.
Very good video
this is probably pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in terms of customisation, but here goes: I have no use for this massive bathroom in the master’s cabin - I can see a swanky lounging area there instead, with the bathroom relegated to that walk-in cupboard. that might be asking too much?
seen a few videos of the 77 now. I notice that when the galley is aft, the seating at the table is on both sides. when the galley is forward, seating is only on one side. is this coincidence or is it the case that structurally you can’t have seating on the forward side of the table? is it the case that the casing above the worktop next to the table is space occupied by the forward cockpit’s seating - more likely the outward flooring of the nav station?
funny how subtracting 2 feet makes everything seem crappier... sorry!
I like the 42 better (although I don't have one) My dream of a catamaran is to live aboard and see the world. Reason I'm not liking the 43 is there doesn't seem to be any good lounging area in the Saloon, To watch TV or even read a book comfortably, Put your feet up, Or even just take a nap. Everything else is good. The front seating area, the top sitting area, all that is a positive in my view, but I need to be comfortable in the saloon at night to unwind.
3:20 When I was in the navy, learning terms and signals. I found an easy way for me to remember port, starboard, red, and green. Left, Right Port, Starboard Red, Green All the shorter words are on the left and all the longer words are on the right.
This is great - and so simple!
Perfect video.Thanks a lot body⛵️
Why the dearth of videos about metal hull trimerans
Great video, thanks
A sixpence?
Marni, L really love the excitement you have. I've watched many UA-cam videos and they just don't often have the gusto you obviously have. Keep up the great tours! :)
That's probably exactly how I'd option it, except I'd add a generator and aircon. The Code zero is a must have, and the aircon is needed in the tropics. I might also get LifePo4 batteries aftermarket and add my own solar, or maybe even skip the Gen set with those batteries, and instead add a larger alternator to one of the engines to act as a generator/charger. I'd also add a watermaker so you could be self sufficient for cruising the tropics.
First time here subscribed and liked 👍. Awesome informative video 👌👍Great stuff 👍 👏 As new to sailing, i still confuse or forget all these names but the way you explain them, it makes sense and very understanding 👍 and already made my life less stressful 🙏😊💯 Thanks a million 🙏 and please make more of these videos 🙏 Have a wonderful day 😊 ✌❤☘
Thank you for your kind words! ☺
Great for charter or coastal sailing. Offshore you definitely want to have the ability to reef also downwind when things get rougher
Great video, thanks for sharing. Couple of questions. As you put consecutive reefs on do you recommend easing the previous ones? i.e. after reef #2 is one do you ease reef#1 to take it easy on the sail? and what is ballpark proportion to take reefs on the jib as you do reefing on the main ? ie as you take reef#1 on the main - how many round on the jib furler you take to reduce the jib sail area?
Lagoon 42 catamarans no longer come with the chain grip that has a locking pin. Our chain grip keeps falling off the chain. How do you stop this from happening? We have tried to purchase the Richard 2985 chain grip containing the locking pin, but have been told that these are old models and no longer produced.
If you spend anytime watching UA-cam sailors with Lagoons you’d avoid.
Gybing a code zero or an asymetric single handed is a challenge! Furling and unfurling is tedious. My preference is to hoist the sail with the free sheet running outside the forestay. When its time to gybe straighten onto a run, let the sail fly forward, make the gybe and then sheet in on the new course. I do this on my own. Some care is needed to ensure the sheets dont end up in the water but i find this an efficient and fairly easy method. I do this on a 12m cat......wouldnt try it on a monohull!
Always easy with no wind!
